Challenge
In educational institutions, conversations with parents, students and caregiving staff who have different language skills are part of everyday life. Language barriers make communication more difficult, affect understanding within the school environment and limit equal participation in educational offerings.
Especially in day‑to‑day school operations, fast, straightforward and reliable language support is required — and it needs to be easily accessible to all institutions.
Solution
With the project “Wir verstehen uns! Video and over‑the‑phone interpreting in educational institutions”, schools are given low‑threshold access to qualified interpreters. Video and over‑the‑phone interpreting provide flexible language support in everyday school life and enable clear communication in many languages.
In this way, educational institutions are supported in reducing language barriers and enabling sustainable understanding.
